Recent changes to ARPartsFinder. Showing the last 30 days, newest first (within each day too).

Improved

  • On product pages that show a price comparison, we now always display the 'Confident matches' heading, marking it 'None' when there aren't any, so a result with only looser 'possible' matches reads clearly at a glance instead of looking like part of the comparison is missing.

Improved

  • On product pages we made it clearer which buttons send you to a retailer to buy, versus links that stay on our site. The main button now reads 'Buy at <retailer>' (it used to say 'View at'), and in the price comparison each retailer's button now says 'Buy at <retailer>' too, instead of a generic 'View', since it takes you to that store rather than to a page here. We also added a small product photo to each comparison row that enlarges when you hover over it.
  • We redesigned the product cards on the browse and category pages so it's clearer what each button does. There's now a prominent green Buy button, labeled with the retailer's name, that takes you straight there to purchase. The product title opens our own product page instead (details, price history, and where else the part is in stock), and separate Details and Add to build buttons sit below, so buying, comparing prices, and saving to your build are each their own obvious action. The new layout carries over to the table view too.

New

  • Some product pages now show a price comparison: the same part at other retailers we track, with each one's price and how much more or less it is than the listing you're viewing. Spot the better deal without opening a dozen tabs. We're starting with a limited set of categories while we test this, matching items by their product titles and labeling each as a confident or possible match. We'll keep improving the matching and expand to more categories over time.

Improved

  • For folks who suggest the correct category on lots of products: thank you, we genuinely appreciate it. To make it less tedious, once you have submitted a few, the confirmation popup now closes on its own after a couple seconds, so you do not have to click through it every time. We are always trying to make helping out more painless.
  • We sharpened the price history chart. Hovering now shows the exact price that was in effect on that date, instead of jumping to the next change once you passed the halfway point between two points, and the tooltip tells you when that price was set. Dots still mark the days the price changed.

June 29, 2026

Improved

  • Stock changes now register more promptly, so items that sell out are marked out of stock sooner and what you see more closely reflects current availability.
  • We tuned our scanning engine to surface more in-stock items across the retailers we track, so search results and price comparisons show a fuller picture of what's actually available.

June 25, 2026

New

  • Rainier Arms is now live on ARPartsFinder. We added their in-stock lineup (barrels, handguards, triggers, muzzle devices, BCGs and more) to search and price comparisons.

Improved

  • Grouped individual small parts (detents, springs, safety selectors, dust covers and more) into a clearer 'Small Parts' category, found under 'Other', so single components are easier to find.

June 23, 2026

Improved

  • We made several backend infrastructure upgrades this week, including a large database change that makes the whole system run more efficiently. Nothing changes in how you use the site day to day, but it keeps things fast and dependable as we grow, and it lays the groundwork for more speed improvements to come.

June 21, 2026

Fixed

  • Moving to another page of results no longer drops your filters. Page navigation now keeps every filter you have set.

June 19, 2026

Fixed

  • Cleaned up the product price chart: the timeline now labels whole dates instead of times of day, and the price axis reads to the cent.

June 17, 2026

New

  • Introducing product pages. Every part now has a 'Price history & details' link on its card that opens a page of its own: a price chart across the whole time we have tracked it, the lowest and highest prices we have seen, and a direct link to buy from the retailer.
ARPartsFinder has tracked AR parts since February 25, 2013. Here is what it looked like a week in.
